Teaching
You cannot do science without teaching. And I love it.
I have been a teaching assistant for several courses at the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, and at the University of Trento, Italy. Here is a list of the courses I have been involved in.
University of Utrecht
- Molecular Modelling (2023): for second year bachelor students. A few lectures and tutorials on the theoretical basis of molecular modelling and dynamics, together with a final protein-protein docking tutorial.
- Structural Bioinformatics (2022-2023): a course for first year Master Students in Bioinformatics, with an example of structural bioinformatics project including Homology Modelling, Molecular Dynamics, Docking, and a bit of AlphaFold. Check out the tutorial webpage.
- Biophysics and Molecular Imaging (2024) for third year bachelor students. A course giving the basics of biophysics and molecular modelling.
University of Trento
- Computational Biophysics (2019-2020), a course about understanding, running and analysing Molecular Dynamics simulations. Check out the course webpage and the tutorials I co-developed.
Tutorials
Additionally I occasionally give tutorials to students and researchers on how to use the HADDOCK software for the prediction of protein-protein and protein-ligand complexes. Here a list of the tutorials I have co-developed, but you can find more of them on the HADDOCK website:
- HADDOCK3 antibody-antigen tutorial: a tutorial about using the new version of HADDOCK (HADDOCK3) to model a challenging antibody-antigen complex
- HADDOCK3 nanobody-antigen tutorial: a tutorial explaining how to model a nanobody-antigen complex with HADDOCK3
- HADDOCK3 protein-glycan tutorial: a tutorial on how to model the complex between a protein and an oligosaccharide with HADDOCK3
- HADDOCK24 basic protein-glycan tutorial: a simplified, fully web-based tutorial to model protein-glycan interactions with the HADDOCK2.4 webserver
Github standalone workshop
Some time ago I wrote a simple, hands-on tutorial on how to use Github for version control. It explains the very basics and allows one to start using Github. You can find it on my Github page.
